Sally A. Painter is a Principal at Dutko Worldwide and Managing Director of Dutko Global Advisors. Ms. Painter has over 25 years experience serving clients in the public, private, and non-profit sector, by providing innovative, multi-level government affairs solutions to their most difficult problems.

Under Ms. Painter’s leadership, Dutko Global Advisors successfully represented seven Central and Eastern European countries–Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia–in a coalition on their most important foreign policy issue with the United States, visa waiver legislation.

In addition to her work in Europe, Ms. Painter recently opened Dutko Worldwide’s newest office in Buenos Aires, Argentina, serving the Southern Cone region and Latin America. This builds upon her existing strong base of partnerships in Europe, Central and Southern Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Ms. Painter has a successful track record of leading large-scale public-private partnerships and was an influential senior advisor at the most historic NATO Summits in recent history, Washington, DC 1999, Prague 2002, Istanbul 2004 and Riga 2006.

Using her expertise to educate foreign policy decision-makers within the transatlantic community, Ms. Painter successfully represented a number of countries on their NATO and EU bids, including Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, and Latvia. Over the last few years, she has also worked with opposition leaders in countries in transition, including Ukraine, Azerbaijan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

Previously, Ms. Painter has served as Executive Director of the Business Coalition for U.S.-China Trade, Director of International at Tenneco Inc, and Senior Advisor in the Clinton Administration to the late Secretary of Commerce, Ronald H. Brown.

Ms. Painter is on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Committee on NATO, the Truman National Security Project, the Partners for Democratic Change, and the Global Fairness Initiative. She is a founding member of the Transatlantic Business Dialogue (TABD), the Advisory Council for the Center on the United States and France at the Brookings Institution, and the Transatlantic Partnership Working Group. She is also on the Executive Committee of The Washington Center’s Institute for Global Civic Leadership.
